Benefits of Working with ESDO
Mission
Working at ESDO means working with teams of people who care about the world and helping the vulnerable people that live within it. Read more about our vision here.
Compensation
Compensation at ESDO is determined by the role being delivered and the experience and assessed capability of the individual, within graded bands. Each vacancy announcement will state the monthly fee. Fees are usually paid in USD.
Professional Development
ESDO’s people are both humble and learning focused. We seek and receive opportunities and support to grow professionally and technically in our capabilities. Once competent in our core roles, we agree an appropriately tailored professional development plan that would usually include a combination of external learning, internal learning and experiential opportunities.
Location & Remote Working
ESDO is an Irish organisation, based in Cork, Ireland. Most roles at ESDO are remote working positions. Some roles are country or region specific and/or office-based and this will be stipulated in the vacancy announcement.
Engagement
ESDO engages personnel as consultants for specific assignments.
Travel
Some ESDO roles require more travel than others. Travel can be domestic or international and travel costs are always covered by ESDO. The nature and seniority of the role have the biggest impacts on the amount of travel expected. Each vacancy announcement will provide an estimate of the travel the role is likely to need.
Diversity & Equal Opportunity
ESDO wants our beneficiary communities represented in our Board, senior leadership team and all of our teams.
Because of that, ESDO celebrates diversity, disability, social mobility and the benefits this brings to our organisation and our beneficiaries.
As an equal opportunity organisation, we want people from diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds to apply to work with us regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation or identity, religion, political views, disability, nationality, background or age.
In this context what we do care about is your passion for, and alignment with, our vision and missions and your ability to impact the planet and our beneficiaries for the better.
Our application screening process is anonymised to ensure we select candidates for interview based on merit.
Recruitment Process
ESDO’s recruitment process includes assessments of values fit, skills and role suitability. This will usually involve:
- Shortlisting of applicants, invitation to initial interview and initial testing/skills assessment
- Second interview with second testing/skills assessment if required
- Reference checks
Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted. If you do not hear from us within 3 weeks of the closing date, then your application was likely unsuccessful and we encourage you to consider reapplying for future opportunities.
All interviews will be conducted remotely with friendly ESDO personnel over video conference software.
